Terms & Conditions of Supply

Road Safety Education Limited (“RSE”) is the provider of the Ryda Program. To participate in the Program (including the one-day workshop), schools complete a Ryda Program Booking Form. By completing and submitting this form to RSE, your school agrees to the below Terms and Conditions of Supply.

Cost of Ryda

The standard value of the Ryda Program is $75 + GST per student. However, your school is able to participate in Ryda at a reduced price detailed in your booking form. This generous subsidy comes from our partners BOC, Toyota, Bridgestone, Boral, NZ Steel, AMI and Rotary and can include government and community support.

Invoices to school

Your school will receive an invoice 28 days prior to the Ryda Workshop date. This invoice is to be paid in full by the Workshop Date. Please let RSE know as soon as possible if you need more time than this to process invoices.

Booked versus Actual Student Numbers

• Your school will be invoiced for the number of students booked by your school to attend the workshop.
• You have up to 60 days prior to the workshop date to change your booked number.
• If you bring more students than booked, we reserve the right to charge you an additional fee (based on the same per-student amount) for these extra students. If this occurs, a supplementary invoice will be sent to you following the workshop.
• If your school is attending free of charge and you bring less than 50% of your booked student number, a fee of $5 per non-attending booked student may apply, as non-attendance affects funder acquittals and future funding availability.

Significant changes to student numbers

Up to 60 days out from your Ryda workshop date you can change your booked numbers without penalty.  You will need to complete an updated booking form to confirm the change by this date. Please request this from your Program Coordinator.

RSE may need to work with your school to reschedule school bookings if reduced student numbers make the workshop day logistically or financially unviable.

After 60 days and for logistical purposes, if you think your school’s student attendance numbers will significantly (+/- 20%) vary, you must let RSE know as soon as possible and preferably more than 14 days prior to the workshop so we can allocate resources correctly.

Cancellation policy – workshop

Preparing Ryda workshops represent a significant investment from RSE, our suppliers and funding partners.  Therefore, the following cancellation terms apply:

For cancellations received:

1. 1. 60 days or more prior to the Ryda workshop date:
      $1 per booked student, in addition to any non-refundable supplier costs  incurred by RSE.
   2. 29 to  60 days prior to the workshop date:
      25% of the program cost. If the school is participating free of charge, a cancellation fee of $2.50 per booked student will be charged in addition to any non-refundable supplier costs incurred by RSE.
   3. 28 days or less prior to the workshop date:
      100% of the program cost. If the school is participating free of charge, a cancellation fee of $5.00 per student will be charged in addition to any non-refundable supplier costs incurred by RSE.
   4. “Force majeure” circumstances. e.g. bushfire, flood will be considered on a case-by-case basis and in these cases cancellation fees may be waived.
   5. If your school is charged a cancellation fee and reschedules within the same year (with similar student numbers), up to 75% of the cancellation fee may be credited toward the invoice for the rescheduled workshop.

Health & Safety Compliance and Teacher Supervision

On the day of the workshop, the school must ensure there is at least 1 staff member for each session group. Generally, we recommend 1 teacher for every 25 students in attendance to maintain normal supervision and discipline, as well as compliance with health & safety requirements for excursions, set by the Department of Education.

• Each school receives permission from RSE to use the Materials from the time the Program is acquired by a school until the end of the calendar year in which the school attends the Ryda workshop;
• Linking: Linking to this website is permitted provided that the links are clearly acknowledged. Links to materials and resources contained in any of the website’s password protected portals is not permitted without the express written permission of RSE;
• Images and logos: Without the express written permission of RSE, you may not use any of the logos or images on this website.

RSE may change these Terms of Use from time to time. Check before re-using any content.
