We’re pleased to share our recently published Concise Annual Report 2025, offering a clear snapshot of our impact, progress and priorities over the past year.
The report highlights how we continue to deliver evidence-led, best-practice road safety education for young people across Australia and New Zealand, through our flagship Ryda program and the expanding Driver Coach workshop for parents and carers.
Inside the report, readers will find:
-
An overview of our programs and their reach, including record student participation and strong engagement in regional and disadvantaged communities
-
Key findings from independent and internal evaluations, confirming Ryda’s effectiveness in building safer attitudes, knowledge and behaviours
-
Insights into our people, partnerships and community connections that make this work possible
-
A concise summary of governance and financial performance, reflecting our commitment to transparency and sustainability
Together, these insights show how education, evidence and collaboration continue to play a vital role in reducing road trauma and protecting young lives.
“Drive safe.” It’s often the last thing we hear as we walk out the door or pull away from the driveway. It’s one of the most common farewells we offer the people we care about — said quietly, sometimes automatically — yet it carries far more weight than we realise. In those two simple words is care, concern, and a deep hope that the person we love will arrive safely, especially when we know the risks on our roads are, unfortunately, all too real.
When we asked young people, teachers and Ryda staff “Who is saying ‘drive safe’ to you?” as part of our Drive Safe campaign, the responses were unexpectedly powerful. Parents, grandparents, partners, siblings, friends — each answer reflected a quiet but deeply felt wish: you matter, and I need you to stay safe.
After the success of the 2024 campaign, RSE will once again run Drive Safe | Arrive Safe over the 2025 summer holiday period — a time when daily commutes are often replaced with longer drives on unfamiliar roads.
This year’s campaign centres on personal stories, recognising that safe driving messages resonate most when they feel real and relatable. Visitors will be directed to a dedicated landing page on our website, featuring practical information, blogs and resources designed to support safer journey planning and decision-making during the holidays.
Throughout the season, RSE staff will also share their own experiences, reflections and tips for travelling safely — offering insight into how everyday choices can make a difference on the road. New stories and articles will be added regularly, inviting people to return, reflect, and stay connected.
Because “drive safe” isn’t just something we say — it’s something we mean.

Dark soundstages and airport runways – these were the backdrops for our recently filmed new video content for Ryda 6.1 and Driver Coach. These short, sharp stories explore the power of speaking up, the role parents play during the learner-driver phase, and the real-world impact of speed and stopping. Along the way, we captured some unexpected moments — and a few lessons of our own.
How do we know Ryda is making a difference? Each year, we gather feedback and evaluation data from students, teachers and parents to understand what’s working — and where learning is translating into real-world behaviour.
The results show strong gains in knowledge, confidence and safer decision-making, reinforcing the value of evidence-led road safety education.
